De Facto Property Settlements

The law now brings separating de facto couples within the federal family law regime on the matters of division of property and the payment of spouse maintenance.

De facto couples can also access the courts for child-related proceedings, as married couples have previously been able to do.

What can we do for you?

There are many variables in de facto relationships: the length of the relationship, the degree of financial dependence on one another, who bought which possessions, and if there are any children.

Contact us about what applies in your case. We can help you settle your issues and avoid you having to go to court.
