Annual Leave
4 weeks paid leave per year, plus an additional week for certain shift workers.
Community Service Leave
Unpaid leave for voluntary emergency activities and leave for jury service, with an entitlement to be paid for up to 10 days for jury service.
Long Service Leave
Long service leave is still covered by a State award.
Parental Leave
Employees who earn less than $150,000 are entitled to be paid parental leave of $570 per week. The employees must apply to the Federal Government, and the employer makes the payment from money received from the Government.
Paid Parental Leave
- is government funded
- can be transferred to the other parent
- is paid at the national minimum wage - currently $570 a week before tax
- is for up to 18 weeks, and
- can be taken any time within the first year after birth or adoption.
Personal / Carer’s Leave and Compassionate Leave -
10 days paid personal / carer’s leave, two days unpaid carer’s leave as required, and two days compassionate leave (unpaid for casuals) as required.
Jury Duty
Employees are entitled to make up pay for the first two weeks of the trial
Public Holidays
A paid day off on a public holiday, except where reasonably requested to work.
