Examples of Harassment

Other examples of cases needing a Harassment Lawyer:

  • Displaying or circulating material that is racist, sexist, sexually explicit or homophobic (anti-gay), OR putting such material in someone’s workspace or belongings, or onto a computer, fax machine or the Internet;
  • Gestures which are sexually or racially offensive;

  • Intrusive questions about sexual activity;

  • Repeated sexual invitations when the person invited has refused similar invitations before;
  • Sexual assault (also an offence under the Crimes Act);
  • Sexual or physical contact such as slapping, kissing or touching;
  • Staring or leering in a sexual manner;
  • Unwelcome wolf whistling;
  • and Verbal abuse or comments that put down or stereotype people because of their sex, pregnancy, marital status, race, sexuality, disability, transsexuality or age.
